Sync, Inbox and Quick Reference Look-up

To Sync, tap the Sync icon (circled in red below)

An information dialog will be shown that displays the sync status and progress. A counter is displayed next to the Sync button representing the number of items that are in the sync outbox, waiting to be sent to the users web account.
The user must first register online at www.caretools.com (select the LOG ON button at the top right of the webpage) to establish a free account to store the sync'd data. All data is transferred using SSL encryption. Access to the stored data is controlled by the user's login and password.

Inbox button indicates the number of Inbox items to be signed-off or reviewed.

Tapping on this button reveals the list of Inbox items, sorted by date (most recent at the top).

Tap on an Inbox item to view and respond.

Tapping on the first item listed above will display the item in greater detail as shown below.

Inbox Item View

Inbox item can contain embedded phone and email links that will pop-up the iphone or email screens if selected. Select the 'Reviewed' button to mark as reviewed and remove from the Inbox. Select 'Reply' to type a reply and remove the item from the Inbox. Select 'PullChart' button to reset the Patient List view to a list of patients with the same last name as the patient referred to in the inbox message. This feature is designed to allow quick access to the referred patient's chart to facilitate ePrescribing and other activities.

Tap the title bar of the Patients tab to pop-up the 'Quick Links' menu.

Tap the red icon to dismiss the popup if no selection is desired. Select from the links to launch the respective data viewer.
